Your Brand Is Your Google Results

If you’re still struggling to explain to the “suits” upstairs why your company needs to be involved in social media, I think you can do it in four minutes and thirty-two seconds.  Point them to this wonderful video from Jackie Huba from CreatingCustomerEvangelists.com.

“Your brand is your Google results.  It’s the sum of what people are saying about what you do.”

At first I did not agree with the content title but after thinking about it I believe that she is right.
When I google my name I find that I am on the first 10 pages of google, placed anywhere from 1st to 6th. And these results are mostly social content. But when I google my company I don’t see results for many pages.
After looking at this a few months ago I realized that my brand needs to be my name, and then link that to my companies.
